We'd like to invite you to a very special event, on 22 October at the Cinema Centre, Border Trust, our community charity foundation will be holding an evening, Caught in the Crossfire an “On the Couch” conversation with Matina Jewell and hosted by John Walker.

Matina’s distinguished military career culminated with a posting to serve as part of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organisation (UNTSO) in the Middle East where she was caught in the crossfire when full-scale war erupted between Israel & Lebanon in 2006.

Matina’s story was featured in a two part ABC Australian Story television special. Today, she holds a number of distinguished government and not-for-profit positions and lives locally in Wodonga with her husband and daughter.
